KISS Japan Tour kicked off!!
Budokan was full of audience. They had neither Peter's drum solo nor Tommy's guitar solo on this tour. Paul hummed the first line of the famous Japanese song "Sukiyaki" and then he led audience into singing it before "Let Me Go, Rock 'N Roll". To our surprise, Gene did the fire-breathing three nights at Budokan. The Japanese fire laws seem to be very strict, especially Budokan. So Gene couldn't do the fire-breathing when they performed here in 1988 and 1995. "Goin' Blind" was played on electric on this tour. Paul introduced all members after "Goin' Blind" on this day. Paul performed part of "Angie" during the intro of "Black Diamond". As a matter of fact, The Rolling Stones also visited in Japan and they performed at Budokan on the day before, March 10th.

Some newspapers reported the March 11th show. These newspapers reported. Especially, The Sports Nippon newspaper featured the big photo (Gene) and the small photo (Gene, Tommy & Paul) in color. Other newspapers also featured the small photo in color except The Nikkan Sports newspaper (this also featured the small photo but it was in black and white).

"Forever" and "Heaven's On Fire" added.
Budokan was full of audience again. Paul introduced all members after Gene's fire-breathing. Paul sang the chorus of "Lick It Up" acappella and he led led audience into singing it, then they performed "Lick It Up". Paul played the intro of "Satisfaction" before "King Of The Night Time World". Paul sang the 2nd verse of "Cold Gin" with Gene. They performed the 1st verse and chorus of "La Bamba", "Day Tripper" and "Sunshine Of Your Love" before "I Was Made For Lovin' You". Staffs were gathering around Paul's solo stage that was set up in the middle of the floor during these songs and they seemed to be very busy preparing. I thought they didn't have enough time to prepare before "Love Gun", so they needed to gain time. Paul performed part of "Angie" and "Stairway To Heaven" during the intro of "Black Diamond".

The last night at Budokan
Budokan was full of audience all three days. "King Of The Night Time World" was played as the opening number only this day. Paul sang the 2nd verse of "Cold Gin" with Gene. Paul hummed the first line of "Sukiyaki" and then he led audience into singing it before "Black Diamond". Paul performed part of "Angie" and "Stairway To Heaven" during the intro of "Black Diamond". Peter had microphone trouble during he sang "Beth". His vocal was often broken but he didn't change his microphone. Finally, he threw it after singing.

The last night in Japan
Yokohama Arena was not full of audience. About 20 percents of tickets seemed to be unsold. The Rolling Stones performed at Tokyo Dome the same day. Some KISS fans had to chose The Rolling Stones show because tickets had gone on sale before this KISS show was announced. "100,000 Years" was played tonight instead of "Goin' Blind" and "Psycho Circus". Paul sang the end of the 2nd verse of "Cold Gin" with Gene. Paul hummed the 1st verse and chorus of "Sukiyaki" and then he led audience into singing it before "Love Gun". Paul performed part of "Stairway To Heaven" and "Angie" during the intro of "Black Diamond".
