Kozo Tate Guitar World
Studied guitar with Yasumasa Obara and Takao Kaneko,and harmony with Tamaki Simizu. Kozo Tate won the 18th International Guitar Competition organized by the Japan Federation of Guitarists, He also received the Minister of Education Award, as well as the Cup given by the Spanish Ambassador.
Kozo Tate studied guitar with Proffessor Arberto Ponce in Paris. He also participated in the Musica en Compostela, where he studied with Jose Tomas, as an honour student. He also studied in Europe with other great guitarists including Oscar Ghiglia, Jose Luis Rodrigo, Bartasar Benites, and Narciso Yepes.
Kozo Tate returned to Japan and gave his debut recital which was a great success.Kozo Tate has helped to introduce classical guitar to Japan together with Japanese leading artists such as Isako Shinozaki and Michio Kobayashi. He also performed a world premiere of Concerto de Aranjuez arranged for the guitar and synthesizer.
Kozo Tate's recent performances include a duo concert with the celebrated flutist Alain Marion, concerto with Amerikan Club Orchestra and Tokyo City Philharmonic, and an appearance on NHK-FM Radio.
He had concerts at the Polish and Belgium Embassy.
In 2002 and 2003, he performed several concerts in Hanoi and Ho-Chi-Minhn,Vietnam.
In 2004 February, he performed many recitals in New Zealand. And in May he had several concerts in Belgium .
In 2006 November, he went to have some concerts in Vietnam again.
In 2012 April. He was invited by Jiri Jirmal who is a famous Czech composer and had several recitals in the Czech Republic.
In 2015 November. He was invited to Saigon International Guitar Festival at HoChiMinh City.
In 2017 April. He had a tour in Spain. He had some recitals and was a jury of the 17th International Guitar Competition COMARCA EL CONDADO 2017.And he was invited for the festival “Guitar Across Styles 2o17” andhad some concerts in Czech Republic and was a jury of the competition.
In 2018 Jun. He had a recital in Vladivostok-Russia. And he had South America concert tour. He visited in Chili, Bolivia, Peru for International Guitar Festivals. And he gave masterclass in Buenos Aires-Argentine.
In 2019 Feb. He had a recital in Philippines. Jun. he was invited to Cevenne International Guitar Festival in France and Aug. was invited to Arion International Guitar Festival in Greece.
