Sapporo is the biggest city in Hokkaido northern main island in Japan. The main airport for the city is "New Chitose Airport (CTS)"  located 45 km south. Also the city has another local airport, Okdama airport (OKD), near the downtown, 6 km north. Thirty local flights connected to the local cities in Hokkaido island arrive at and depart from the airport every day. All airliners in this airport are propliners. Four DHC-8-300s painted different flower c/s for Air Nippon Network are operated from here and Saab340s by Hokkaido Air System come two or three times a day.  Four Dash 8s stand by on the apron for the daily duty before eight o'clock and depart one after another.
