Introduction

Chubu International is new airport in Nagoya city that is the 3rd biggest city in Japan located between Tokyo and Osaka. It is located south east of the city.

How to get there

from Nagoya downtown
Nagoya railroad company is operating the direct trains between Nagoya station and the airport, 28 min by Rapid Limited Express trains or 41 min by Express trains, every 10 to 20 min. ( JPY 850(O/W non reserved seat), JPY 1,200(O/W reserved seat)). Meitetsu Nagoya station is connected to JR, Kintests and Subway Nagoya station. from Tokyo

Some flights are from Tokyo Narita by ANA and JAL. (JPY15,700(O/W), JPY26,700(R/T), JPY13,350(O/W special fare, must buy ticket few days before)) Maybe you can get cheaper international connection fare at your travel agent)
Also any "Air Pass" (JAL 'Yokoso Japan' airpass, Welcome to Japan fare, ANA Star Alliance airpass, ANA Vist Japan fare) are available.

Where can you take Photographs?

Observation deck The terminal building has the big observation deck on the roof top of the center pier. Open 7:00am to 9:00pm, free of charge. The deck area is closed by wire cable fences, but you can widen the space for you lens. The light condition for the runway is good until 11:00 am and for the domestic spot area is for all day.

Where do you stay?

There are two hotels in terminal area, Toyoko Inn and Comfort Hotel Central International Airport. Both of them are connected to the terminal building. Also you can find many hotels around Nagoya station.
