The present publication is selected pictures from the construction of Hoando that has been built for the 750th anniversary of Nichiren Shoshu Buddism under the 67th highness Nikken Shonin supervision for the purpose of a safekeeping of the Dai-gohonzon eternally. The construction began with a ceremony on Apr. 28, 2000 and end in one on Oct. 12, 2002, followed by ten day of opening ceremony celebrated with 67,000 priests and believers from the world.

This is the largest traditional-designed building in Japan with a security against crimes, an earthquake and a fire, completed by financial supports of honest priests and believers of Nichiren Shoshu world-wide. I believe that Nichiren Daishonin, Nikko Shonin, Nichimoku Shonin and the following high priests must be pleased with this great achievement. I think that the present publication of the pictures in this two and a half years to reconfirm what we have achieved will be a good memorial material of our 750th anniversary.

From now, always try to visit the Hoando to pray not only your personal happiness but also the would peace with Nichiren Shoshu Buddism, and now is the time to kick off to the next great goal: the 750th anniversary of "Rissho Ankoku Ron" in 2009.
