I would like to celebrate the completion of Hoando that has been constructed for the 750th anniversary of Nichiren Shoshu to keep the Dai-gohonzon safely inside. It is honorable for me to have been the chief designer of such a great building where priests and believers gather for prayers.

Teachings from his highness and advices from the priests and believers made me more imaginable on the design truly required. I believe this extremely large building based on Japanese traditional design with tenderness and generosity make you feel pleased and harmonizes with beautiful environment here, especially Mt. Fuji.

The large space inside for the prayers possesses delicate natural light, calm and strict atmosphere, and 5,000 seats for the believers. A structure that bears disasters, a strict proportion, controlled ornaments, and brief and graceful details were examined scrupulously.

At the last, I would like to thank for the members of Okumura Co. and Izumi Construction Co. who provided us their high technology and sincere efforts to realize the design.
