Priest Rencho said farewell to Dozem-bo, the father and the mother, and started off to Kamakura City over hills and rivers. Kamakura was a new vibrant city as the capital of Kamakura Bakufu (1192-1333), a feudal military regime in Middle Ages of Japan, where Nembutsu-shu (Amida Jyodo sect) and Zen-shu (meditation sect) were epidemic religions.
