　…って返信がきました。^^;

そこで、ご教授をお願いしたいのです。
某米国サイトに私のギター『ハウマッチ？』って尋ねたら
下記記載の内容文が届きました。
内容はおおむね理解できたのですが、
委託で売れた場合の金銭の受け渡しには触れていないのですが
もし、米国との取引方法をお知りでしたら是非ご教授をお願いします。

この度、ご参考になればと思って、初めて書き込みを致します。

ご存知のように、マーティン社はホームページを持っていて
(http://www.mguitar.com/)、そこにはお客様相談室（customer service)
があり、メールアドレスも記されています。私は以前アメリカに住んでいた
ことがあるので（上記２本もアメリカで購入しました）、つたないですが少々英語が
使えるものですから、ある質問を直接マーティン社にメールで聞くことに
しました。

それは自分のD-45（1975年）のトップ材についてです
というのも、自分ではローズやマホガニーの区別は
できても、スプルースは勉強不足でちょっとわからないからです。それで自分の
ギターのモデルとシリアルナンバーを教えて、件の質問をしたのです。

そこで返ってきた答えが、

この返信を受けたとき、私はショックのあまり何も言えませんでした。「私のギター
が贋作であるわけがない。何かの間違いだ。」と思う反面、「ひょっとしたら、
精巧にできた贋物を掴まされたのか・・・。」、「マーティン社の打ち込みミスか。」
と、いろいろな思いが交錯しました。

そしてマーティン社に再度チェックをお願いしたところ、次のようなメール受けました。

わかりました。シリアルナンバーが（データベースに）登録されたときに、間違って
D-18と打ち込まれたと考えられます。この間違いについて、そしておかけしました
ご迷惑について、お詫び申し上げます。

よかったよかった。まさか贋作ではないと思っていたけれども、間違って登録される
ると（D-18も大好きですが、18と45は文字上全然かすってもいないじゃないか！）、
誰しも私のような気持ちを持ってしまうのではないかと思います。
また、マーティン社は、もともとの質問である、私のD-45のトップ材についても、
シトカ・スプルースであると、親切に教えてくださいました。

一応、データベースの訂正と、他にも間違いがある可能性があるので、マーティン社
には再チェックをお願いしておきました。長々と書き込みして申し訳ありません。
私はこの掲示板はいつもチェックしておりますので、もし英語についてわからないこと
があれば訳しますので、いつでもどうぞ。
