9. lha

Notice

This document describes how to install and configure the lha software which can compress / uncompress lzh.
Windows in Linux as guest OS. " ^ " means " space " in this procedure.

Conditions are;
1) Linux : Red Hat 7.0 (Linux 2.2.16-22) / Red Hat 7.1 (Linux-2.4.2)
2) Hardware : Dell GX110, COMPAQ 5010
3)Store rpm package : in "/tmp" (As you like !)
4)Use Ctrl + Alt + Esc to move Mouse in two windows

1. Download "lha"

Get the lha archiver from following URL to /tmp
http://www2m.biglobe.ne.jp/~dolphin/lha/lha-unix.htm
(Current Ver : 1.14i on 2001.7.10, lha-114i.tar.gz 64KB)

2. Uncompressed and compile gz file

$ cd ^ /tmp
$ tar xvfz lha-114i.tar.gz
$ cd lha-114i
$ make
$ su -
# cd ^ /tmp
# make install

3. How to use

$ man ^ lha... (^^

Ex-1a.) Uncomrepss : $ lha ^ e ^ targetfile.lzh
Ex-1b.) Uncomrepss : $ lha ^ ew=/tmp/foo ^ targetfile.lzh ......Uncompress to /tmp/foo directory
Ex-2...) Compress .....: $ lha ^ a targetfile
