The Rissho Ankoku Ron

Priest Nichiren finished writing a paper and named it "Rissho Ankoku Ron" (The Theory for the Peace World with true Buddhism). On July 16th in the first year of Bun'no (1260), he presented it to Tokiyori HOJYO, who had the largest political power of Kamakura Bakufu, to remonstrate him not to be intoxicated by evil creeds.

"Rissho Ankoku Ron" insisted that recent calamities answered to what sutras said that pseudo-Buddhism would disturb countries of Mappo Ages by calling over seven kinds of disaster. Priest Nichiren prophesied that the remained two kinds of disaster, wars and civil strives, also would break out before long, unless the true Buddhism of Lotus Sutra would be adopted as the center pillar of the country.
