このホイッスルは、生還した３等航海士ピットマンが実際に使用した品のレプリカで、その頃制作したジョセフ・ハドソン社が１９１２年当時と同じ工具を使って、忠実に再現した復刻版です。
オリジナルのホイッスルは、’９１のロンドンのオ−クションで、３１００ポンド（約７０万円）で落札されています。
ちなみに、別の注意書きには、「人の耳元で鳴らさないで下さい。継続して鳴らす場合は、必ずイヤ−プロテクション（耳を保護するもの）を使用して下さい。」とありました。（＾−＾；）

This is to certify that this whistle is an authentic replica of the mate's whistle manufactured and supplied by ACME whistles in 1912, for use on the White Star Line steam ship "TITANIC".
The original first mate's whistle, which helped to save 700 lives was recently sold at a London AUCTION for £3,100.
Made from solid brass, this replica was produced using the original tooling.
