This page is not for too weak Italian bike. ;P
I present all of troubles on my machine. I think that is given some hints for you.
Following top item is newest one and bottom item is oldest one.



Starter do not work

A starter is do not work after some times use during a short touring. (At that time I stall engine few times.)
Not only a starter. When I turn on ignition, do not work a fuel pump and a headlight also a hazard lamp.
It's seemed to empty battery. But I was running a few minutes ago. I can not believe that suddenly.

In that time, I get to pushed machine by some helper for start engine.
And we had gone home after lunch. (It's a very very hot day. ;()
That battery is already 4 years old. It should be replace with a new one.
I left my machine to bike shop.

One week later, a battery was replaced with a new one.
That old battery is certainly tired. But, my machine still has a problem.
I hear from a mechanic they do not have an electric circuit diagram. So, I give it later from owners manual.
(My machine is not the HONDA. This is that cause. They have only part of information from the FUKUDA.)

I check a circuit diagram with some hints that do not work a hazard lamp and a fuel pump.
I guess problem that is three lines at starter.
I thought it has a some circuits. But, It is just only tied three lines.
A mechanic make sure voltage between engine and battery.
He finds contact is bad. (It's shown my attention is not bad.)
After that, he connect engine to negative terminal of battery with booster cable.
Then, we can start engine.

A mechanic say, "We will make sure electrical circuit and connect directly to engine from battery. ".

One week later, a mechanic can not find problem on circuit.
But problem is cleared by tied engine to negative terminal of battery.
After that I meet no trouble on more than 5000km.
Moreover, indicator lamps are brightened and a starter is become powerful.

Weak power and gas empty?

Final repair are following.

It's seem...
Stuffed injector is cause of weak power.
Water in fuel tank is cause of gas empty.
I may have had only to have cleaned it if it was a carburetor.

Weak power

This problem is continuous last trouble gas is empty.
I get brief my machine condition before take that.
But, I thought could not know how about condition my machine before running.
In addition my required order is completed.
So, my machine is here.

I heard above thing from a mechanic.
I take engine stalled as soon as.
After that I take sometimes engine stalled and an engine is noisy sound "PIKI PAKI".
And it dose not have enough power for 60km/h more.
I able be running with difficulty by heavy flywheel that is identity of the GUZZI.
It will be not get enough gas. Rarefied gas is cause of a knocking.
At first I suspect sensor of accelerator. But when connector is removed from sensor, I can not start engine. So, it's connected.
A mechanic said problem may be on a injector.
Power feel is no problem before repair. So I could not instantly believe that is say clogging suddenly.
At second I suspect fuel pump. It's a very expensive.
After that checkout voltage on pump. I hope it is a drop the voltage.

Gas empty?

It's happen during a touring.
Perhaps it may be same cause at the last time.
It seem like as a gas empty.
The 1100Sport has a reserve pilot light. So it dose not have reserve cock.
After a while my machine get well.
I see an internal fuel tank after charge gas.
I look a muddy gas !?
After that my machine is stopped once more on highway.
After while I can re-start.
Other touring members wait in the shoulder of a road.
I join to them and run the top of group.
This day I could go home.

Next week I bring to a bike shop.
At that time I met again engine stalled in an intersection during that short run.
At a bike shop we check inside of muddy tank.
We see inside tank with an endoscope that is a mechanic personal tool.
That scope cable is stained with muddy water.

I order to remove the rust and water from inside tank.

One month later, my order is completed, but it seem no power on low revolution and poor acceleration.
I verify my machine condition by running.

It has about 3L muddy water in fuel tank. It is a wonder work up!!
I hear from mechanic a water drain hose of tank cap is creased under tank.
It's may creased when I adjust initial load of rear suspension.
I can not assemble removed fuel tank myself because I'm too weak. ;-(
So, I did not check drain hose at that time.
I'm sorry for.....

This repair work are remove water and the rug from tank and wash fuel line.
Shinned inside fuel tank.
A fuel pump dose not sound like as "MEEEEN".
I run about 30km without engine stop like as gas empty.
So this work is completed.

Leak oil 2nd

Again.
Probably it's a crankshaft side? Oh my, do not care!

Crack paint of wheel

In fact, I had detected this problem when I washed my machine.
But, my highest priority was break in at that time. So I thought "Later".
I may not make a complaint. Already expired gurantee period.

That cracked part of paint on rear wheel. It's like as a hit small stone.
That around a crack point is detached large area.
The 1100Sport has the MARCHESINI wheel in default.
I don't know. But someone said it's an expensive.
I want to say have a good job at least paint!!

As a result I can make a compliant.
My payment is only for replace of rear brake disk and break pad.
If expect to act sensibly, it's a clear that problem was there since first.

Leak oil

Oil is dripped at oil line point behind of oil pan.
I'm surprised by sound of burst dripped oil on chamber when running.
In few weeks I sometimes checked oil level. That sound is make nervous me. So I required repair.

My machine was still guaranteed. So that repair cost is nothing.
I hear from mechanic. That job is very hard.
Because it's the HONDA PRO's. Therefore they do not have exclusive tools for the GUZZI.
That problem is at seal of main shaft between mission and clutch.

Blow fuse

A fuse is blown at pushed starter button.
At first, I thought short around starter.
But, cause is voltage down of battery and bad contact between negative terminal of battery and frame.
I hear from mechanic. If it can not get enough voltage at starter work, it is blown fuse by over current.

I spent many time to this problem.

A battery is no charged under 3000rpm.
I had ride 2000rpm at CB1000SF. That may be brought this trouble to me.

Filled tank cap with water

I parked my machine without cover in rain whole night.
Next day, when I opened tank cap for charge gas, around hole were filled water.
Later, air blew drain. But I think problem is in structure.
So, I take always tank bag.

Broken part of female screw thread on head cover

These bolts were not replaced long one to fit.
So, it could not get enough effectively screw length.
Then it was broken by over load limit.
And I thought there were other causes.
This problem was in the GUZZI guard that was not include replace bolts.
I thought someone drive screw over torque by ratchet wrench.

All of broken screw thread were failed clean out.
So I could replace long one.
At that time, I dot not process on cylinder. (I was helped. These female screw are very deep.)

Inferior fuel pump

A fuel pump is already inferior.
I bought through my favorite shop from the FUKUDA.
A fuel pump is the bosh brand and about 70,000 Yen. (Very expensive)
