I join Special Attack Forces.
Spirited
young blood with nothing but one word "death" in my heart.
"Iron Whale" school means
submarine school. This picture was taken when he graduated from
submarine school (11th graduate student).
Sub-lieutenant Kawai (rank:at that time) was given intensive training
at the risk of his life (15 pilots died while training) at the base
for Special Attack in Hikari city, Yamaguchi for about six months
from autumn in 1944 to his sortie (March 16, 1945).
