"Gochou"
is really great. I was no match for him!
"Gochou" is a divisional
officer who supervised the class consisting of the first, second and
third grades at Naval Academy. Divisional officer was selected from
the third (highest) grade students according to school records of
their second grade. (Sub-lieutenant Kawai was "gochouho," sub
divisional officer.)
Picture of a duck can be seen at the bottom right-hand. "Duck" seems
to be his nickname.
